Review - Everneath

Everneath -  Brodi Ashton

Nikki Becket has just returned after a 100 year long absence. Well, it was a 100 years in the Everneath, 6 months in Surface time. She just disappeared without a trace.

Now that she's back, she has six months to say good-bye to her family, friends, and boyfriend Jack. Except this time, knowing that she's going to leave, she is refusing to get attached.

Nikki isn't the only one back from the Everneath though. Cole has followed her. He's the bad boy rocker that took her to the Everneath. Cole is there to convince her to return with him and become their queen.

With the Shade growing inside of her, reminding Nikki of the time she has left, she must come to term with the fact that the Tunnels will come for her no matter what. Nikki must make the decision. Go with Cole or disappear in the Tunnels.

Everneath is the first in the trilogy.

My only complaint with Everneath was my confusion at the beginning of the book. There are numerous flashbacks. Thank goodness they are titled as such.

  1. I read this one - but really didn't care for it. I thought it had potential...but the flashbacks and the ending just didn't do it well.
